    rice bran
  • 1/2 c
    ground flax seed
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 11/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter, unsalted
  • 2 large
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    walnut halves
  • 1/2 c
    coconut, grated

How to Make Ricebran/flaxseed sugar cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift rice bran, ground flaxseeds, flour,and baking powder together. Set aside. Cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs and vanilla, coconut . Beat until well blended. Stir in rice bran mixture,then walnuts. Roll dough into small balls. Flatten on cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven, rest for 1 minute then transfer to cooling rack.
