Ingredients
- 1 cup rice bran
- 1/2 cup ground flax seed
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 11/2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, unsalted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups walnut halves
- 1/2 cup coconut, grated
How To Make ricebran/flaxseed sugar cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift rice bran, ground flaxseeds, flour,and baking powder together. Set aside. Cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs and vanilla, coconut . Beat until well blended. Stir in rice bran mixture,then walnuts. Roll dough into small balls. Flatten on cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven, rest for 1 minute then transfer to cooling rack.
