This has become one of my favorite cookies for the Holiday. You know the green color goes so well with Christmas. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients For pistachio pecan party cookies

  • 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c
    margarine, softened
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 pkg
    pudding, pistachio, instant
  • 3 dash
    green food coloring, drops
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c
    sugar for coating

How To Make pistachio pecan party cookies

    In large bowl, Combine powdered sugar, margarine, oil,almond extract, eggs, pudding mix and food coloring; mix well. In separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, cream of tarter and salt; mix well. Add dry ingredients to egg mixture; mix well. Stir in pecans. Cover with plastic wrap; Refrigerate 1 hour for easier handling. heat oven to 375 degrees. Shape dough into 1 inch balls; roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Yields 4 dozen cookies.
