This is another amazing recipe I found in that cookbook my mother put together for the church so many years ago. This one comes from Barbara Martin. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup persimmon pulp
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange rind
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup raisins

How To Make persimmon orange delights

  • Step 1
    Cream butter and sugar lightly, then add next 4 ingredients. Mix and sift all dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture. Fold in nuts and raisins. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
