Peppermint Patties

These taste almost identical to York Peppermint Patties! You can make into any shape, using whatever cookie cutter shapes you have. This recipe is from a friend of mine.

No-Cook or Other


  • 2 c
    icing sugar (and a little extra for dusting purposes)
  • 2 Tbsp
    light corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    peppermint extract
  • 8 oz
    semi sweet chocolate
  • 2 tsp

How to Make Peppermint Patties


  1. Mix the first five ingredients until smooth. You may need to add a few more drops of milk. Chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Dust with a little icing sugar and roll out until 1/4 inch thick. Cut into small stars and freeze until hard.
  3. Melt the chocolate with 2 tsp shortening, in microwave, and let it cool to room temperature.
    Dip stars into chocolate and chill until set.
