  • 1 c
    butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 3/4 c
    finely chopped pecans
  • additional powdered sugar

How To Make pecan meltaways

    In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour and salt, add to creamed mixture. Stir in pecans. Chill. Roll in 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while warm. Cool, roll in sugar again. Makes about 4 dozen.
