A lady I worked with back in the early 80's made and brought these into work. They are the first peanut butter cookies I really liked. Hope you enjoy them too.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    shortening or butter
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    peanut butter
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    rolled oats

How to Make peanut butter round ups

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream together sugars, shortening and peanut butter.
    Add the eggs
  2. Mix flour, salt, baking soda and oats. Add to creamed mixture.
  3. Form balls with about 1/2 tablespoonful dough. Roll in white sugar. Place on baking sheet and flatten each with a fork in a crisscross pattern.
  4. Bake at 350 approximately 12 minutes.
