Ingredients
- 1 box - yellow cake mix
- 1c - shortening
- 1 - large egg
- 1/4c - brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1tsp - cinnamon, ground
- 1/2tsp - cloves, ground
- 1tsp - vanilla extract
- 3/4c - chopped pecans
- 2 1/2c - old fashioned oats
- 1/4c - water
- 1 1/2 - sweetened applesauce
- 1c - craisins or raisins

Step 1mix all ingredients, well, spray cookie sheet with pam by tbsp to pan 12 at a sheet, bake 350 for 10 mins makes 3-4 dozen very good -
Step 2you can make carrot cake cookies follow same recipe but add 1 c shredded carrots, and 1 c applesauce and 1/2 crushed pineapple, and follow same baking 350- 10 mins 3-4 dozen cookies
