  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    butter flavor shortening
  • 2
  • 2 c
    rolled oats
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 c
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 11 oz
    butterscotch chips

How to Make Oatmeal Butter Pecan Cookies


  1. Pre-Heat oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cream together sugars, butter and shortening. Add eggs, vanilla and oats.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Add to oats mixture 1/3 at a time and stir well.
  4. Add pecans and butterscotch morsels to cookie dough and stir well.
  5. Form into balls and bake on cookie sheet for 10 – 12 minutes or until cookies are golden brown. Makes 3 dozen.
