not your mothers oatmeal cookies!
For some reason when I think of fall I think of oatmeal cookies!!! Found this recipe and added lots of extra ingredients (ie nuts and cocoanut). They were like I remembered

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 1 bag chocolate chips
- 1 cup cocoanut
- 1 cup nuts of choice
How To Make not your mothers oatmeal cookies!

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line large cookie sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2In a large bowl (or a mixer with a paddle attachment) cream the butter and brown sugar together. Add eggs vanilla, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Beat until mix is light in color and fluffy

Step 3Add flour and oatmeal-combine. Then add chocolate chips cocoanut, and nuts--just to combine

Step 4Drop by spoonful .( I used a scoop and made larger ones.) onto the parchment lined cookie sheets. Bake 11-15 minutes or until lightly brown--I need the 15 minutes probably because I made them big. Cool on racks
