My friend Mary, from Wisconsin, spent her school year working at a cookie store in the mall, and from baking up so darn many batches in large volume, this is her version (and slap your tongue on the back of your head they're that good) of one such cookie. LARGE BATCH

makes 288 cookies (YES, 288!), that's 24 DOZEN
Ingredients
- 2 cups butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 4 medium eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 cups flour
- 5 cups oatmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 24 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
- 3 cups pecans or walnuts, coarsely chopped
- 18 ounces hershey bars, grated

Step 1Cream together butter and sugars, beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine and add flour, oatmeal, salt, soda and powder. Stir in remaining ingredients and roll into golf ball sized balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees 6 min.
