As a little girl I can remember the spicy sweet smell of these cookies baking and the anticipation of eating my first one. (beating my little brother to it) lol My Mom wrote down the recipe for me, but I believe they are originally from a little booklet called Gold Medal Flour, Cooky Carnival. (they spell it C O O K Y) Anyway, these are a perfect chewy cookie and the spice is right on the money. I love these. * I am posting these in honor of my sweet friend, Ms. Val Paris. Sending all my love and hugs your way my sweet friend ! Enjoy XXOO
