ma's old-fashion oatmeal and raisin cookies

My Ma would make these when we were kids~there are 7 of us~this recipe makes a lot of cookies. She was hoping they would last a day or two and they did.

Ingredients
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- CREAM THESE ABOVE TOGETHER
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups oatmeal, uncooked
- TAKE RAISINS AND BRING THEM TO A FULL BOIL IN PAN OF WATER.
- 1 1/2 cups raisins

Step 1Cream the first ingredients. Add flour in intervals with milk, mix well stir in uncooked oatmeal.

Step 2Scoop or spoon onto parchment paper cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 13-15 minutes.

Step 3I always put a piece of bread wrapped in a napkin in the bottom of my cookie jar~the bread will keep your cookies,bars etc. soft.
