Ingredients

  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts
  • 1 1/2 c
    graham cracker crumbs
  • 14 oz
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 oz
    semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/3 c
    coconut

How to Make Magic Cookie Bars, Mom

Step-by-Step

  1. Oven to 350 degrees or 325 degrees if you use a glass dish. Melt butter in 9x13 pan in oven. Spread crumbs over butter, pour milk on top, top with remaining ingredients and press down with a fork. Bake 25 min or until lightly browned. Chill if desired, cut into bars or diamonds. Store, covered, at room temperature.
  2. Optional Variations: substitute chocolate chips or nuts with mini M&Ms, craisins (dried cranberries), raisins, mini marshmallows, or butterscotch chips.
