Ingredients

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon lemon zest
3 cups flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda

How To Make lemon sugar cookies

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 3

Add eggs, vanilla, lemon juice and lemon zest and mix to combine.
Step 4

Stir in flour, baking powder and baking soda, mix just until combined.
Step 5

Drop dough onto baking sheet.
Step 6

Bake for 9 - 11 minutes. Cool on baking sheet 3 minutes.
