How to Make Judy's Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Step-by-Step

  • 1*You could replace the raisins with craisins, chocolate chips, cinnamon chips, butterscotch chips, or a mix of chocolate & butterscotch. Or you can add them along with the raisins (about 1/2 to 3/4 cup). Experiment to find your favorite!
  • 2Cream butter or margarine with sugars; add eggs and vanilla.
  • 3In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients, except raisins and nuts (and/or flavored chips). Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet. Add raisins/nuts/chips. Combine well.
  • 4Drop by spoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on racks.
