Jew Cookies

Linda Starr

It was the 60's and every year my mom made these for Christmas. They are good and yes a whole box of brown sugar! I would say that they taste like a blondie. I found the recipe recently just in time for the holidays. It's been over 32 years since I tasted one. I hope you enjoy them.

  • pinch
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Jew Cookies

  1. Beat eggs, add sugar and cream well (personally, I did not use the whole box of brown sugar. I loosely filled 2 cups.)
  2. Add flour, salt, cinnamon to wet mixture and mix well.
  3. Add vanilla and pecans and mix. Pour into an 8" cookie sheet.
  4. Bake on 350 for 20-25 min. Until golden brown.
  5. While still hot cut into squares. Mix 2 cups of powered sugar with cream and pour over bars. Let dry and take out of pan.
