Jackie's Famous Big Chocolate Chunk Cookies

I came up with this recipe a couple of years ago. Everyone raves about these especially when I make enough to take to my work. Everyone says they are better than bakery bought! You could use different types of pudding mix to create your own masterpiece. I hope you and your family will enjoy this as much as mine do.

  • 1 c
    butter or margarine melted
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar, light
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 pkg
    3.5 oz instant vanilla pudding
  • 1
  • 1
    egg yolk
  • 1 Tbsp
    light corn syrup
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips

How to Make Jackie's Famous Big Chocolate Chunk Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Combine melted butter or margarine and sugars. Add the pudding mix, egg and yolk, vanilla and corn syrup.
  3. In another bowl combine all the dry ingredients. Add to the batter little at a time just until blended. Don't mix too much or the cookies will turn out too tough. Fold in the chocolate chunks.
  4. Scoop onto lightly sprayed cookie sheets using a 1/4 measuring cup. Six cookies per sheet is recommended. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until lightly browned.
