helen's chocolate chip oatmeal cookies
This recipe was given to me by the woman who sold me every new car I bought in the last 30 years! She is no longer with us, but I will always be reminded of her when making these cookies.

Ingredients For helen's chocolate chip oatmeal cookies
- COOKIE BATTER

1 - 18.25* pkgwhite, yellow or butter recipe cake mix

1 - 3.4 oz boxinstant butterscotch pudding mix

2/3 cquick oatmeal

1/2 cvegetable oil
-
1/2 csour cream
-
1/4 cwater
-
2 tspvanilla
-
1 csemi-sweet chocolate chips
- * TO UPSIZE A 15.25 OZ. CAKE MIX, ADD

1/4 cflour
-
2 2/3 Tbspsugar

1/3 tspbaking powder
-
1/16 tspbaking soda
How To Make helen's chocolate chip oatmeal cookies

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In a large bowl, thoroughly mix all ingredients except the chocolate chips. Stir the chocolate chips into the well-mixed batter.

3Drop by heaping teaspoons onto a cookie sheet sprayed with PAM.

4Bake for 9 to 11 minutes. Allow to cool on cookie sheet for appx. 5 minutes. Remove to foil covered with paper towel to cool completely.

5Note - You can use any combinations of cake mix and pudding flavors and even leave out the oatmeal and add something else as a mix-in. It's a good basic recipe.
