Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup applesauce, unsweetened
- 1 cup flax seeds ground
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 - large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups grape nut cereal
- 2 cups oats, quick cooking
- 1 cup cranberries, dried

Step 1Preheat oven to 375°F.

Step 2Mix flour and backing soda in small bowl.

Step 3In separate bowl, mix applesauce and flax seed.

Step 4Gradually add sugars, beat until well mixed.

Step 5Beat in egg and vanilla.

Step 6Gradually add flour mixture, beating well after each addition.

Step 7Stir in oats, cereal and cranberries.

Step 8Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Step 9Bake 8 minutes or until lightly browned.

Step 10Cool 1 minute, remove from cookie sheets.
