Ingredients
- 2 quarts chopped green tomatoes
- 2 quarts chopped apples
- 1 pound raisins
- 1 pound currants
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 2 cups mollasses
- 5 cups brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons cloves
- 4 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
How To Make green tomato mincemeat

Step 1Cover the tomatoes with water, scald and drain.

Step 2Combine tomatoes with apples, raisins, currants, vinegar, mollasses and spices in a big enamel kettle. Cook all together until thick and dark. This should take about 2 hours.

Step 3Pour into sterile jars,seal,process in a hot water bath 10 minutes. I have froze this for a year also and it was very good.

Step 4Makes 8 pints.
