How to Make Green Tomato Mincemeat
- Cover the tomatoes with water, scald and drain.
- Combine tomatoes with apples, raisins, currants, vinegar, mollasses and spices in a big enamel kettle.
Cook all together until thick and dark. This should take about 2 hours.
- Pour into sterile jars,seal,process in a hot water bath 10 minutes.
I have froze this for a year also and it was very good.
- Makes 8 pints.
