Ingredients

  • 1 c
    butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 3/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    peanut butter, creamy or chunky
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    bran
  • 3/4 c
    rolled oats
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • EQUIPMENT

  • ·
    ungreased cookie sheet
  • ·
    wire rack, for cooling cookies

How to Make Grannie's Peanut Butter Cookies (oven version)

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Melt butter.
  3. Beat together with the sugars, vanilla, peanut butter and eggs.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, bran, oats and baking soda.
  5. Stir mixture into butter mixture.
  6. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 to 18 minutes.
  8. Remove to a wire rack to cool.
