Love to cook,with my grandchildren special my 8 year old so is so smart and very beautiful full of question,.BRIANNE loves to bake and cooking.SO WE did Grandm's spiced sugar cookies,because it reminds of her.sugar and spiced and evrything nice.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    groung cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/4 c
    granulated sugar(or splenda)
  • 1 c
    softened butter(room temp)
  • 1
    egg
  • 2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract( or favorite flavor)

How to Make Grandmy's spiced sugar cookies.

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix flour,baking soda,cinnamon, nutmeg,and salt.
    Set aside
    Beat sugar and butter in large bowl with electric mixer,on low speed until well mixed.Then ADD dry ingredients mix well.
  2. Refrigerated for2 hours or overnight until firm.
    Roll out on lightly flour surface to 1/8-inch .Cut into different shapes Place on a greased cookie sheet.OR spray cookie sheet with bakers joy.
    Bake, IN preheated oven 350*F and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly golden brown
    Cool on baking sheets 1 minute.
    Remove from baking sheets;and cool completly.On wire rack.

    Decorate cooled cookies with colorful glazed or frosting,and sprinkles if you wish.
    Place it back on wire racks to dry.

  3. COOKIE GLAZED.
    Mix 1 cup confectioner's sugar .
    3 1/2 tsp. low fat milk,
    2tsp. light corn syrup,.
    1/4tsp of favorite extract,and 3to4 of food coloring.Add until color is just,right for you.
    AND the glazed is very smooth.Have a great time deco.with your grandbabies or with your lady friends gethering. ENJOY IT WITH GREAT CUP OF TEA OR MILK . God Bless.
