My daughter's favorite ...just another take on the infamous Gooey Cake. She requests these for any special occasion...and they are so simple to make.

Ingredients

BARS
1 box yellow cake mix (i prefer butter recipe golden)
1 stick butter, softened
1 - egg
1/2 cup pecans chopped fine
TOPPING
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
2 - eggs

How To Make gooey bars

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 and lightly grease a 9x13 pan

Step 2

BARS: Mix all ingredients together by hand. Press into lightly greased 9x13 pan.
Step 3

TOPPING: Mix all ingredients together with a mixer, pour over bar mixture.
Step 4

Bake at 325 for 40 minutes
