Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
- extra sugar for dipping
How To Make ginger molasses cookies

Step 1Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and ginger together; set aside.

Step 2In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugar, egg and molasses together. Then gradually stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture. Mix well.

Step 3Roll into 1 inch balls, dip into sugar and place on parchment lined cookie sheets. Press once with a fork to slightly flatten. * Dip the fork into some flour to keep from sticking to the little balls.

Step 4Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven, for 10 minutes. Don't over bake, remove from the oven while still soft.
