Ingredients For ginger molasses cookies

  • DRY INGREDIENTS
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    ginger
  • OTHER INGREDIENTS
  • 3/4 c
    butter
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/4 c
    molasses
  • extra sugar for dipping

How To Make ginger molasses cookies

    Measure and whisk the dry ingredients together and set aside.

    In a large bowl cream sugar, butter, egg and molasses together. Then gradually stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture. Mix well.

    Roll into 1 inch balls, dip into sugar and place on parchment lined cookie sheets. Press once with a fork to slightly flatten. * Dip the fork into some flour to keep from sticking to the little balls.

    Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven, for 10 minutes. Don't over bake, remove from the oven while still soft.
