- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 cup malasses
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon nutme
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- VANILLA BUTTER FROSTING
- 3 tablespoons butter softened
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon milk
How To Make genger cream cookies

Step 1Mix shortening, sugar, egg, and water together. Blend in the remaining ingredients. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for one hour.

Step 2Heat oven to 400 degresse, drop dough by teaspoons on a greased baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Place on a rack to cool.

Step 3Mix the vanilla butter frosting ingredents together and frost the cooled cookies, let stand for frosting to set.
