fruity sugar plums
My Aunt Martha use to make these every year for Christmas..These will be a great addition to your holiday cookie tray..my family and neighbors love these--last year I made them using chopped fruit trail mix..this was a big hit...

Ingredients
- 2 cups finely chopped nuts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 2 teaspoons orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon each of ground allspice and ground nutmeg
- 1 cup dried apricots, finely chopped
- 1 cup pitted dates, finely chopped
- 1 cup more or less of powdered sugar can mix with cinnamon if desired
- NOTE:
- - can use 2 cups of chopped fruit and nut trail mix;instead of apricots and dates; or any ratio you like of all of them
How To Make fruity sugar plums

Step 1Combine honey,orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg in a large bowl. Add the nuts, apricots,dates and spices, mix well to combine.

Step 2Using a small scoop or spoon, form mixture in 1/2 to 1 inch balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar. Store in airtight container. Look great on cookie tray...
