Coconut cookies with tangy frosting made with Jell-O.

Ingredients For jello frosted cookies

  • 1 pkg
    refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 1 c
    flaked coconut
  • 1/2 tsp
    coconut extract
  • FROSTING:
  • 4 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tbsp
    jell-o flavor of your choice
  • 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp
    corn syrup, light

How To Make jello frosted cookies

  • 1
    In a large bowl, combine cookie dough, coconut and coconut extract. Knead until well-mixed. Roll dough out to 1/4-inch thick. Use cookie cutters of your choice to cut out different shapes. Bake at 350 ^ for 12-14 minutes. Remove to cool on wire racks. Beat cream cheese,corn syrup, Jell-O and powdered sugar until combined. Spread on cookies.
