fat cookies
This recipe has been in the family for generations. We have adapted it for current times. The original family recipe was 2 cups margarine instead of butter. You can swap out the margarine for 2 cups butter + 1/2 t. salt *or* 1 cup butter + 1 cup shortening + 1/2 t. salt. We do these cookies during holidays and love to have themed cookie cutters and colors.
