egg nog sugar cookies
I've been making these Egg Nog sugar cookies for years for the Holiday's. Friends and family LOVE them.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup margarine and butter (mixed)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 1/2 cups flour, sifted
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- BUTTER FROSTING
- 1/4 pound butter (not margarine)
- 1 pound powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- - milk
- - nutmeg
How To Make egg nog sugar cookies

Step 1Mix margarine and butter, salt, lemon rind, nutmeg, sugar, eggs, and milk together well.

Step 2Add sifted dry ingredients.

Step 3Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheets. Bake 350 degrees 8-10 minutes until golden brown.

Step 4FROSTING: Heat butter to melt, add powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough milk until it is of spreading consistency. When cookies are cool, frost with butter frosting and sprinkle with small amount of nutmeg.
