- 1 cup sugar

Step 1Cream shortening, oil, sugar and powdered sugar. Add eggs. Sift together soda, tartar, salt and flour. Combine with creamed mixture and add vanilla. Roll into balls and flatten with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees 12 min.
