double chocolate peppermint bark cookies

I was looking for an easy but different "holiday" cookie to take to a tailgate (in December) so I made this up as I went! They were a hit and everyone asked for the recipe! I hope you and yours enjoy these moist holiday cookies! Cheers!

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 sticks butter, room temperature
- 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 - eggs, room temperature
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar (or light)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet mini chocloate chips
- 1 cup peppermint bark, chopped

Step 1Preheat oven to 350

Step 2In a separate bowl, sift flour, cocoa, soda, and salt. Set aside

Step 3Beat sugars, cream cheese and butter together. Add vanilla. Add one egg at a time and beat until fully incorporated before adding second. Gradually add dry ingredient mixture. Beat until fully incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips and peppermint bark

Step 4Place spoonfuls of dough on foil lined cookie sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool on cookie sheets for a minute then transfer to wire cooling racks. Enjoy!
