dee-licious peanutty butter cookies with chips

The usual peanut butter chocolate chip cookie just doesn't have enough peanut butter flavor for me. I have tweaked this recipe over the years and I think they are perfect this way and have been making them like this for the past 10 years. I hope u enjoy them as much as we do.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter flavored crisco
  • 1-3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups peanut butter, creamy
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3-1/2 cups unbleached white flour
  • 1-1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 cup chopped pecans, walnuts or peanuts(optional)
  • 3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

How To Make dee-licious peanutty butter cookies with chips

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cookie sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    In large mixer bowl cream first 5 ingredients until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Beat in eggs, milk and vanilla.
  • Step 3
    Sift dry ingredients together. Slowly incorporate into creamed mixture until well blended. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
  • Step 4
    Scoop onto cookie sheets 2" apart. Bake in 350 degree oven for 9-10 minutes or until light brown. Do not overbake to a med or dark brown or they won't be chewy. Let cool 10 minutes on cookie sheet. Finish cooling on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container. Enjoy!
