Ingredients For dark chocolate truffle cookies

  • 1 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/3 c
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 2 1/4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/4 c
    sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 2 c
    dark chocolate chips (hershey's special dark)
  • 1 c
    chocolate sprinkles

How To Make dark chocolate truffle cookies

  • Creaming butter, sugar, and cocoa.
    In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, and cocoa till light and fluffy.
  • Adding sour cream and vanilla extract.
    Beat in sour cream and vanilla.
  • Stirring in flour.
    Add flour and mix well.
  • Stirring in chocolate chips.
    Stir in dark chocolate chips.
  • Refrigerating the cookie dough.
    Refrigerate for 1 hour and preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Rolling balls of dough into sprinkles.
    Roll into 1 inch balls (a small PC scoop is perfect). Dip in chocolate sprinkles. Place sprinkled side up, 2 inches apart, on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Chocolate cookies baking in the oven.
    Bake at 325 for 10 minutes or until set. Cool 5 minutes before removing to wire rack.
