This is a good recipes if you like throwing in the kitchen sink.They are really good and basically easy to make. Enjoy these holiday bars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/4 c
    molasses
  • 1 large
    egg yolk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    chopped peanuts
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 12 oz
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    seedless raisins
  • 1/3 c
    peanut butter

How to Make Crunchy Surprise Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix sugar,butter, molasses, egg yolk, and vanilla. then when mixed well add flour and 1 cup of chocolate chips. Press dough in ungreased 13x9 pan. Bake in 350 degree oven til golden brown 25-30 minutes.
  2. Mix remaining chocolate chips, raisins, peanuts, and peanut butter in a 2 quart saucepan. Heat over medium - low heat stirring constantly, til chocolate is melted. Spread over crust in pan. Rrfrigerate at least 2 hours. Cut into bars.
