crinkle top molases cookies

I love the favor of molases it makes me have that feeling of being back home. I dug this out (hadn't made them in quite a while} and made them for a baby shower and my boss took some home for her mom. She raved about them and wanted the recipe. It reminded her of cookies she ate when she was a child.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup shortening { i use crisco }
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 - egg beaten
  • 4 tablespoons molasis
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup raisens { i like the golden raisens}

How To Make crinkle top molases cookies

  • Step 1
    Cream together shortening, sugar, egg, and molasis
  • Step 2
    In separate bowl add salt, baking soda, ginger, cloves, flour, raisens. Mix
  • Step 3
    Add dry ingredients to first bowl. Mix. Roll into walnut size balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place on baking sheet.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. ENJOY!!!!
