These bar cookies have been handed down from my husband's Grandmother who brought them over from Poland. They are simple to make and a great hit at Christmas time!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups dried cranberries
- 2 cups orange juice, fresh
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup butter, cold, cut into pieces
How To Make cranberry mazurkas

Step 1Preheat oven 350 degrees. Spray a 13 x 9" pan,set aside.

Step 2Combine first 4 ingredients in saucepan,simmer over medium heat 13 min. or until liquid absorbed & mixture is thick. Spoon into blender & process till smooth. Set aside to cook.

Step 3Combine flour, oats & 1/2 cup of brown sugar; cut in butter with pastry blender to resemble coarse meal. Reserve 1 cup mixture, setting aside. Press remaining flour mixture into pan. Spread cranberry mixture over top, sprinkle reserved flour mixture over cranberries.

Step 4Bake 45 minutes till slightly browned on top. Cool in pan. Before cutting into bars, sprinkle powdered sugar over top.
