I really wanted a sweet today and had no recipe so I made this up with what I had in the Cupboard. Just in time for Thanksgiving!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    softened salted butter
  • 1 c
    cane sugar
  • 1 medium
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    anise extract
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour plus extra if needed
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c
    fresh raw cranberries

How to Make Cranberry Butter Clusters

Step-by-Step

  1. cream butter, gradually add sugar.
  2. Add extract and egg stir briskly. Gradually add dry ingredients then the cranberries.
  3. Drop by large tablespoons onto lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Let cookies sit for 5 min then lift off and set on wire rack to cool.
