Ingredients

  • 1 c
    shortening
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 c
    oatmeal
  • 1 c
    butterscotch chips
  • 1 c
    walnuts, chopped

How to Make Cowboy Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until fluffy.
  2. Combine dry ingredients and gradually add to butter mixture.
  3. Stir in butterscotch chips and walnuts. Drop onto baking sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove to cooling rack. Store in airtight container.
