This is a very simple, yet tasty cookie that Mom made...and yes, the 1 pound of brown sugar is not a typo!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup butter
- 3 - eggs
- 1 pound brown sugar
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
How To Make congo bar cookies, mom's

Step 1Mix together flour, powder and salt. Melt butter and brown sugar then add eggs one at a time and add to dry ingredients. Add nuts and chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes in greased pan. Cut when cool.
