I love the soft texture and the spicy flavors of the cinnamon and nutmeg. You could use this recipe(-nutmeg) as your "go to" cookie base and add your favorite chips, nuts, etc. to create your own masterpiece. Enjoy! Disclaimer: I have always used recipes as a guide and use my instincts and experience to alter or omit ingredients as I cook. Ingredients For cinnamon chip cookies

  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1 pkg
    hershey's cinnamon baking chips

How To Make cinnamon chip cookies

    In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt and nutmeg; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in cinnamon chips.

    Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool.
