- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup peanut butter, creamy
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make chocolate peanut butter cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl of a mixer beat together the shortening,peanut butter, brown sugar,milk and vanilla extract mix until well blended. Add the egg and mix just until combined.

Step 2In small bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt, mix well.

Step 3Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined. Roll into balls and place on a cookie sheet, use a fork to press the dough down.

Step 4Bake for 7-8 minutes at 375 just until set around the edges. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet. Then transfer to a wire cooling rack.
