Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter, creamy
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make chocolate peanut butter cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl of a mixer beat together the shortening,peanut butter, brown sugar,milk and vanilla extract mix until well blended. Add the egg and mix just until combined.
  • Step 2
    In small bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt, mix well.
  • Step 3
    Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined. Roll into balls and place on a cookie sheet, use a fork to press the dough down.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 7-8 minutes at 375 just until set around the edges. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet. Then transfer to a wire cooling rack.
