Ingredients

  • DOUGH
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted shortening
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup sour milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon powder
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 squares melted chocolate
  • FROSTING:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons warm milk
  • 1 square melted chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make chocolate drop cookies, margaret kinney

  • Step 1
    Combine together dough ingredients and drop by spoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 min. Frost when cool.
  • Step 2
    NOTE: Sour milk is a combination of vinegar and milk (1 1/2 t vinegar or lemon juice in 1/2 cup measure first, then fill rest of measure with milk). Baking chocolate squares are what the chocolate part of the recipe ingredients means (find in the baking aisle in a box).
