chocolate crackled cookies
Found this on the McCormick recipe site. Did a couple of modifications. This has now become a favorite.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate
- 3/4 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons saigon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons ancho chili pepper powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 - eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
How To Make chocolate crackled cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 375F. Melt the baking chocolate as directed on package. Set aside.

Step 2Mix flour, cinnamon, ancho chile pepper powder, baking powder and salt in small bowl. Set aside.

Step 3Beat butter and sugars in large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add melted chocolate; beat until well blended. Gradually beat in flour mixture on low speed until well mixed. Fold in chocolate chips.

Step 4Drop dough by rounded tablespoon or medium cookie scoop 1-1/2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes or just until cookies are set and slightly cracked on top. Cool on wire rack completely. Enjoy!
