It's hard not to love a good chocolate chip recipe! And this one is eggless. It's also how I tell myself I'm eating "healthy." I get my yogurt and my chocolate fix all at the same time! And one of the best things...my teenage son asks me for these cookies! He loves them!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 c
    margarine, softened
  • 1/4 c
    shortening
  • 1/2 c
    vanilla, banana or plain yogurt
  • 11/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 c
    flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    freshly ground flaxseed (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make Chocolate Chip Yogurt Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or leave sheet ungreased.
  2. In a large bowl, beat sugar, brown sugar, margarine and shortening until light and fluffy. Blend in yogurt and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, flax, baking soda and salt. Slowly add to sugar mixture until blended. Stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Drop by spoonfuls onto prepared pan. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until light golden brown.
