Do you remember "pan" or "bar" cookies growing up? I used to make these almost every Friday after school with my girlfriends. And we had a special Tupperware container to store them, which went on top of the refrigerator, and all the other kids in the neighborhood knew where to get fresh cookies at the Juris household.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 - eggs
- 1 package ghiradelli semi-sweet (or milk chocolate) chocolate chips
How To Make chocolate chip pan cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Combine the oats, flour, soda, salt and cinnamon in a small bowl.

Step 3In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, sugars, vanilla and lemon.

Step 4Add the the eggs and mix until smooth.

Step 5Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, in portions.

Step 6Stir in the chocolate chips.

Step 7Spread dough evenly in a non-stick cookie sheet.

Step 8Bake 15-20 minutes, until cookies are golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool in pan.

Step 9Slice and serve!
