This cookie recipe my grandmother and mother made quite often.

  • 2 1/4 c
    flour (unsifted)
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    butter or oleo
  • 3/4 c
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 c
    chocolate chips

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 375F. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, combine butter, sugar, , brown sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy with mixer. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture, mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Use a small ice cream dipper to control portions. Put onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes. Cookie will not look like it is done, put on paper towel and cool.
