  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 1/3 c
  • 2/3 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 2
  • 1 1/2 tsp
  • 2 1/2 c
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 12 oz
    semi sweet chocolate pieces

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies


  1. Combine butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
    Beat until light and fluffy.
  2. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well.
    Stir in chocolate pieces.
  3. Drop by teaspoonful's onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    I use a small cookie scoop, to keep size uniform.
  4. Bake in the upper third of the oven, at 350 degrees,
    for 10 to 12 minutes, or until set.
  5. *** Cookies do not brown very much.
    The texture is soft when removed from the oven,
    but slightly crisp and chewy when cool.
