Aunt Eleanor used to make these and before you knew it everyone in the family was using her recipe. These are delicious and I have to make a double batch at the holidays to satisfy my husband's and brother's sweet tooth.

Ingredients

1 cup butter, room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3 - eggs, beaten
3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 tablespoons hot water
1 cup nuts chopped (i use walnuts)
12 ounces chocolate chips

How To Make chocolate chip cookies

Step 1

Cream butter and sugars,and beaten eggs. Mix in all other ingredients and mix well

Step 2

Drop on greased cookie sheet with a teaspoon
Step 3

Bake 350 degrees 10-12 min.
