These are too easy to be true. this comes from Taste Of Home mag and the lady who invented them was Teri Lindquist.
I make these frequently, and took them in to work and everyone raved how good they were, had to give out the recipie for this to 5 different people.

Ingredients

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cheese Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut cookie dough in half. For crust press half dough on the bottom of a 8x8 square greased baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and egg until smooth. Spread over crust.
  3. Crumble remaining dough over cream cheese layer.
  4. Bake in a 350 degree preheatd oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until center is set.
  5. Refridgerate leftovers.
