Ingredients

  • 2/3 c
    butter/margarine
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 6 oz
    semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make Chocolate Chip Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla. In another mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  2. Stir the chocolate chips into the batter. Spread batter into a greased 13x9x2" dish. Bake for 25 minutes. Let cool slightly in pan before cutting into bars.
